Hi Roy,
I'd like to chime in here. I'm a pretty active Java developer, in the open source community, as well as plenty of work building Java apps for my day to day job. Pointing someone at Javadoc isn't the same thing as providing "examples" of how to use a Java library. If what you're saying is that that is all that's available for OPeNDAP java client libraries, then that's fine. But, I'm not sure I appreciate your tone suggesting that it's equivalent to provide someone who is asking for help with your software "links to documentation, including javadocs", and hoping that they can parse that into explicit instructions on how to connect to an OPeNDAP server. Perhaps to you this is "easy" and we're asking "noob" questions, but this type of tone on a mailing list won't elicit a lot of support for your software, nor will it encourage folks to continue to ask you questions.
Cheers,
Chris

What I sent you are links to java client libraries, which is exactly
what you asked for. If you do not know how to use a java library,
then I do not see how you will write your application. If you do
know, then at the links I sent there is also documentation, including
java docs, that describe the classes and methods.
