IDL Client

I am interested in using the IDL client on mac OS X.  is there either:

1.  Someone willing to supply a pre-compiled binary of this

or

2.  Provide somewhat more details on building and installing that is 
given in the readme with the code.  It is unclear at what level I run 
./configure, or which file gets used.  It is unclear if there are IDL 
specific libraries that have to be prsent in order to compile the 
program  (I have the tools, someone else at the lab has the IDL).

Any help or suggestions appreciated.
