OPeNDAP and access log

Hi Martin,

I don't know about turning on something in Apache that will give the  
number of bytes, but you can always write a simple script that  
obtains the data type from the dds for the selected variables (col in  

this case) and then determines the number of bytes from that. For  
example, if col is a 4 byte integer, then the request below would be  
approximately 4*512 or ~2kb. It will not be exact, but it will be  
quite close. If you do write such a script, please let us know so  
that we can make it available to others.
